Hey Finman, ever hear of Konfabulator? It was just bought by Yahoo and is now a free utility that can do a lot, including display RSS on your desktop. If you look at this screen shot, you will see the latest posts from RR.com on the upper right hand corner. It's a functional rss reader that I downloaded from the Konfabulator widget gallery. All you have to do is click on any of those topics and it will launch your default browser and take you right to it. The RSS reader that was already available is totally functional, but it would be cool if someone could create a new RSS widget with Reagan’s likeness on it, and a much nicer and glassier appearance to the background. Anyhow, it’s got a lot of potential and I thought I would tell you about it.

No, It never got fixed. the RSS reader on that site is all messed up. The blogsite [Modblog] has been virtually abandoned by it's developers.
This week I might try to figure out how to create widgets for Konfabulator because I'd like to have a customized Reagan RSS reader... The RSS reader that was available from Konfabulator's gallery is functional, but it would be better to have a custom reader with Reagan's likeness on it.

Someone uploaded a nicer RSS reader that I'm using now... check it out. It sits right on my desktop and is updated every 10 minutes, if I don't need to use it I just close the widget. Check out the screenshots. When you mouse over the links it tells you who started the thread too.
